They preserve our freedom and way of life today, just as they have for over 200 years. -John Walsh Saturday May 8th 2010 at 8: 00 am-Volunteer Landing The 3rd Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Run (LEMR). This event is the only race in Knoxville, TN that raises awareness to Police Week (May 9-15, 2010). This race also honors all Law Enforcement Officers in the Knoxville, Tennessee Knox County Area who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and those whom are working on the frontline for the public every day. The race is open to all participants and we encourage everyone to attend. (Including runners, walkers, family, friends and supporters). The proceeds will benefit the historic LEMRNational Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) in Washington, DC and our local community, as we plan to construct our first-ever Law Enforcement Memorial in the Knoxville-Knox County (TN) area.
