Advantage, with active ingredients, i.e. i.e. listed also has potential side effects. If you’re trying to decide on using K-9 Advantix for dogs versus Advantage, I would start with Advantage (i.e., cheaper) and see if it is effective for your dog. If you need something stronger, than K9 Advantix for escalate to dogs, or in the case of the cat, switch to Frontline Plus for cats due to the different chemical make up of the medicine.
Ingredients in Frontline Plus For Dogs or Cats
Frontline Plus has an entirely different set of activeingredients (Fipronil and (S)-methoprene) and is also not listed as having any known side effects. You can start with Frontline, or switch to Advantix , Frontline or Advantage if also not working for you. I will point out that Frontline Plus is the only one of the three that indicates it is safe to use for puppies or kittens as young as 8 weeks pregnant/lactating female or on dogs. However, it’s always a good idea to check with your veterinarian before using any pesticide products if you have a dog or cat whose health is sensitive.
